Encore Search Becomes Primary Catalog on October 22, 2018

10/22/2018 UPDATE: Encore is now the primary catalog!

We are excited to announce that beginning October 22nd, 2018 Encore will become our primary catalog search method. This intuitive, Google-like experience will provide multiple ways to refine your search to find exactly what you need, whether it be books, digital titles, dvds, audiobooks, music, and more. With the click of a button you’ll also be able to place a hold on a digital title in our OverDrive collection or connect to the Commonwealth Catalog to continue your search throughout Massachusetts without multiple sign-in screens.

Where am I on the request list?

questionThis question features a lot on our current CLAMS survey.  “What number am I on the wait list for [the latest popular] title?”  Our software does not currently offer this feature.  However, there are some facts that will help you to interpret the data that you can view.  The ratio of requests to copies will give you a good idea of the length of the queue. And libraries frequently add extra copies  of high demand titles.  Check our FAQs for more information.

CLAMS Mobile Catalog – no app required!

airpacCLAMS just made it easier to access the catalog  and your library account on mobile devices.
CLAMS now offers  “AirPac” a new mobile catalog interface for smartphones.  On your smartphone, use a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and search library.clamsnet.org. It will automatically use the mobile interface, no need to download an app. You still have the option to select the full-screen version, but the mobile interface is much easier to read on smartphones — it is simplified for the small screen.
CLAMS continues to offer the Boopsie app an as alternate mobile catalog.
