Featured service: passes

passes2Who doesn’t like a discount?  Your local CLAMS library may offer free- to-you, or discounted passes for:  museums,  art centers, and more.    Check  the online list  and visit your library’s website for more information.    Libraries will vary in selection, reservation, and  lending policies.

Miss the Virtual Catalog? The new Commonwealth Catalog is here!

ComCat_Web_SmallWhen you want to search beyond CLAMS – we now offer a new service.  This replaces the old “virtual catalog”. The Commonwealth Catalog allows CLAMS patrons  to find items not available at a CLAMS library. novplus100CLAMS has added an online guide to reading available to all CLAMS library users.  NoveList Plus covers fiction and non-fiction and offers  Author Read-alikes, Book Discussion Guides, Feature Articles, Award Winner lists, and much more.  Access NoveList Plus here.

Finding your next favorite book just got easier!

novelistNext time you search the CLAMS Catalog for the latest from your favorite author you will see some great new features.  CLAMS has added NoveList Select, a catalog enrichment service, that will turn the catalog into “a place for book discovery, adding reader-focused features such as reading recommendations, series information, book reviews, book jackets, and more” (from the Novelist website).  This readers’ advisory service will help readers find just the right book and discover new authors.  See an example here (scroll down when you open the link to see series info., etc.).

Early Childhood Resource Center at Falmouth Public Library

The Early Childhood Resource Center (ERC) at Falmouth Public Libraryis available FREE to

Teachers, librarians, daycare providers, parents, or anyone who cares for children up to age 13.
The ECRC is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care, and our mission is to make materials and resources available to the early childhood community across the Cape & Islands.
