Based on feedback from the recent summer patron survey, CLAMS has released a redesigned online catalog.
Read on for a summary of the patron survey. We listened and incorporated as many of your suggestions as possible. Thank you to all who participated.

More than 83% of respondents use a computer from outside the library to access the online catalog.
47% use a mobile device to access the online catalog.
What patrons are doing in the online catalog:
90% – Searching for materials
84% – Logging into My Account to request/renew items.
38% – Using lists such as New and Popular Titles
24% – Accessing OverDrive
Types of Searches:
85% – Title
74% – Author
36% – Keyword
23% – Subject
96% say they find what they are looking for all or most of the time.
45% use the Search by Format feature.
40% use the Advanced Search options.
40% limit their search results in some way.
47% use the reviews while searching the online catalog.
46% used the Novelist/series information at the bottom of the page.
When asked whether they would like articles and online reference sources included in a catalog search when doing research:
45% said Yes
15% said No
40% said Not Sure
50% of respondents said they would like to access ebooks from within the online catalog.
