Beginning on May 1, 2017, the Classic Catalog will become our main (primary) search method.
According to the News from the Library of Congress, on March 29, 2017, the Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden, named 25 recordings to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress because of their, “cultural, artistic and historical importance to American society and the nation’s audio heritage.”
Beginning March 27th, 2017 we will have two search catalogs. Our main (primary) search catalog, Encore, will be accessible at encore.clamsnet.org, and the Classic catalog will be accessible at library.clamsnet.org/search. We are keeping a link to Classic, for users who prefer the, “old catalog.”
If you have bookmarked, clamsnet.org, library.clamsnet.org, and/or encore.clamsnet.org you will go directly to our Encore (primary) catalog. If you have bookmarked library.clamsnet.org/search you will go to our Classic (old) catalog. You can also click on the link listed in the footer of Encore to go to the Classic catalog.
The Encore catalog was launched in 2016 and, starting on March 6th, will become the primary search method for CLAMS.
According to the News from the Library of Congress, on December 14, 2016 the new Librarian of Congress, Carla Hayden, announced, “the annual selection of 25 motion pictures that have been inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress because of their cultural, historic or aesthetic importance.”
We have most of the titles available through CLAMS. If there is a title on the list unavailable in CLAMS you can request a title via the Commonwealth Catalog or contact your local library to receive the item via InterLibrary Loan.

What is Encore?
Based on feedback from our users, CLAMS has added an intuitive, yet powerful search option that includes features common to search engines such as Google, commercial web sites, and social networking sites. It is a new way to search for books, DVDs, digital titles, etc. in the CLAMS libraries. Encore is particularly powerful when you begin with a broad search and want to narrow it down.
Encore integrates the patron’s OverDrive eBook checkouts and holds into “My Account” and allows access to articles from Gale General OneFile, an online reference resource provided through the state.
