Gabriel Garcí­a Márquez, March 06, 1927 – April 17, 2014

His works include  the novels One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera, and the memoir Living to Tell the Tale.
In 1982, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
